Sendblue alternative

Sendblue is an iMessage, SMS, and RCS platform you wire into apps, agents, and CRMs. We are a personal assistant you text on a public US and Canada number.

Same channel family. Different job. They sell pipes and lines. We sell the assistant that already works.

This is not a ChatGPT comparison. That post is already written: Why Use AI Chat SMS When You Can Just Use ChatGPT?.

We already compared consumer texting assistants in our Instinct, Homer, and Dunnit pages. Sendblue is a Provider page. Twilio is next.

What Sendblue says

From sendblue.com: iMessage for Business. An agent-first messaging platform. YC-backed. SOC 2 Type II. HIPAA plans available.

The product is a REST API plus sales and CRM workflows. Sign up, provision a number, POST to send. Official Node and Python SDKs, cURL, and a CLI. Webhooks for two-way conversations. Automatic iMessage detection with fallback to RCS, then SMS. They say no A2P registration is required.

Published features include send and receive on iMessage, SMS and MMS with fallback, RCS on V2 lines, reactions, read receipts, typing indicators, group messaging, contact cards, and FaceTime Audio via API when you buy a FaceTime line. Marketing also shows Zapier and CRM hooks for stacks like Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and Close.

Pricing from sendblue.com/pricing: Free Sandbox at $0 with a shared number, full API access, up to 10 verified contacts, inbound-first, CLI and SDK, community support, and no dedicated number, outbound, or webhooks on free. AI Agent at $100 per dedicated line per month, inbound-first, 1,000 inbound contacts a day, webhooks, media, typing, reactions, priority support. They frame $0 per-message fees, $0 A2P, $0 carrier surcharges, and $0 SMS fallback fees on that plan. Enterprise is custom and volume-based, with full outbound, multiple lines, SOC 2 and HIPAA, and a dedicated account manager.

They also sell a sales-team story: shared inbox, AI-assisted follow-ups, power dialer, workflow builder. Still infrastructure you operate. Not a consumer personal assistant with a public number for reminders and briefs.

We are not going to publish any of their phone numbers. Link the site. Keep the logo. Their docs use example digits for samples. Those stay off this page.

What you get if you text us
