Linq alternative

Linq is an API for building AI agents that talk over iMessage, RCS, SMS, and voice. We are a personal assistant you text on a public US and Canada number.

Same channel family. Different job. They sell the pipes for your agent. We sell the assistant that already works.

This is not a ChatGPT comparison. That post is already written: Why Use AI Chat SMS When You Can Just Use ChatGPT?.

We already compared Instinct, Homer, Dunnit, Pally, Poke, Sidekicks, Martin, TwoThumbs, Olly, Sarai, Tomo, Caddy, Iris, Boba, Arlo, Catch, Notis, Zapia, Memorae, and Lindy. Provider pages cover Sendblue and Twilio.

What Linq says

Linq describes itself as the infrastructure to build and scale AI agents in iMessage. Linq's own AI context page calls it "Twilio for the AI era." Linq says it is built for technical founders, engineers, and product leaders at AI-native and AI-agent startups.

The product is a REST API with a CLI, a sandbox, webhooks, and docs. They say most teams send a first message in about five minutes using the sandbox. For teams that don't want to code, their homepage says their integration teams can help.

Published channels are iMessage, RCS with automatic SMS fallback, SMS, and voice. Published iMessage features include group chats, iMessage apps, tapbacks, read receipts, typing indicators, photos and voice notes, Find My location sharing, and calls. Group messaging, iMessage Apps, and live location are listed on the Pro plan.

On trust, Linq calls itself the only SOC 2 Type II iMessage API. It markets 99.95% uptime backed by a contractual SLA, and its pricing page lists contractual SLAs on Enterprise.

Linq lists a free Hobby plan for up to 20 contacts, a Pro plan starting at $260 a month with a 7 day free trial, and custom Enterprise pricing. None of it is billed per message. Plans are on linqapp.com/s/pricing.

Their site is linqapp.com.

Linq's iMessage Agent Store

Linq's homepage has an iMessage Agent Store section with the line "A marketplace of AI agents you can text." Its cards include Tomo, Lindy, and Poke.

If you found Linq looking for an assistant to text, that's us. We already compared Tomo, Lindy, and Poke too.

Where Linq wins

Building your own agent? Linq built the pipe. Native iMessage through an API, with tapbacks, read receipts, typing indicators, and calls, plus group chats, iMessage apps, and Find My on Pro.

Linq says it is the only SOC 2 Type II iMessage API and backs 99.95% uptime with a contractual SLA. Flat plans instead of per message billing keep a busy agent's costs predictable. If you need that pipe, they built it.

Where we win

Nothing to build. Text a published number and the assistant is already there, with no API key, no webhook, no hosting, and no model bill. Fifty free messages, then a flat $15 a month for unlimited.

Reminders come back as texts, daily briefs cover any topic you pick, and memory carries across conversations. You also get web search, /mode personas, /image, and Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Outlook on /connect. On iPhone you get blue bubbles, and on Android it runs over SMS and RCS.

Which one you want
